Framed copies of the icon will travel from council to council and serve as a centerpiece for prayer and inspiration. Jose Magana had fallen into the world of gangs and addiction. Amid his struggles, he had an encounter with Christ, putting him on a new path. His recovery was fraught with intense challenges, including the urge to commit suicide. Jose overcame his addiction and has now been sober for 29 years. He has since become a brother Knight and a regional growth director for the Knights of Columbus, and he believes his work to be a vocation, one of evangelization.
