Honoring the First Knight to Fall in WWII In 1941, Ensign William I. Halloran was killed at Pearl Harbor, becoming the first Knight of Columbus to die in World War II. While the Halloran family lost a beloved son and brother, the country gained a hero. Backed by the Knights of Columbus, a tremendous war bond was launched to fund the construction of a destroyer escort ship, named in honor of William — the USS Halloran. His brother Lawrence reflects on William's enduring legacy in this moving tribute to a man who embodies the virtues of "The Greatest Generation." #PearlHarbor75 Subscribe now to keep up with the Knights! http://bit.ly/SubscribeKnightsOfColumbus
